Sprains 

A sprain is an injury to a ligament, which is a band of tissue that connects two bones at a joint. Sprains can range from mild to severe and can cause pain, swelling, and difficulty moving the affected joint.

Symptoms:

▸ Pain in the affected joint
▸ Difficulty moving the affected joint
▸ Swelling
▸ Bruising - Tenderness
▸ Instability of the joint


When to Call a Doctor:

▸ If the pain is severe or does not improve with home treatment

▸ If you cannot move the affected joint or bear weight on it

▸ If you have signs of infection, such as redness, warmth, and swelling
